LAPROPHAN PARTICIPATES IN THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY OF GIZ

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of GIZ, an official reception was held at the residence of H.E. Mr. Robert Dölger, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Morocco. This event brought together numerous institutional, economic, and associative stakeholders, long-standing partners of Moroccan-German cooperation.

During this ceremony, Ms. Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Morocco, and H.E. Mr. Dölger praised the strength and quality of relations between Morocco and Germany. They highlighted the structuring role of GIZ in supporting strategic projects, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, governance, vocational training, and sustainable development.

At the invitation of Ms. Kathrin Lorenz, Director of GIZ, several Moroccan organizations that have benefited from the technical and institutional support of the agency shared their experiences. They emphasized the positive impacts of this cooperation in their respective fields of activity, demonstrating the relevance and effectiveness of GIZ's partnership approach.

A highlight of the reception was the symbolic planting of an olive tree in the gardens of the residence, representing a sustainable partnership, deeply rooted and fruitful for the future.

This event thus celebrated five decades of successes in Moroccan-German cooperation through GIZ, while paving the way for a renewed and strengthened partnership. The latter aims to be ambitious in the face of upcoming common challenges, particularly those related to energy transition and economic transformation.
