LAPROPHAN Laboratories were the winners of the 2008 Innovation Award, granted by the Research and Development Association of Morocco.

LAPROPHAN Laboratories have been developing new pharmaceutical specialties for several decades through their sister R&D company PROMINDUS, meeting the expectations of patients and the medical community while satisfying international standards of quality, efficacy, and safety.

This extensive experience in Research and Development has been crowned by the acquisition of international patents for invention and innovation, particularly in:

- the treatment of rheumatic and inflammatory conditions: DI-INDO®.

- the treatment of spasmodic digestive, urinary, and gynecological pain: NEOFORTAN®.

Research in the field of digestive pathology, primarily due to gastric hyperacidity, has led to the development by the R&D department of LAPROPHAN Laboratories of the first effervescent Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI), which won the first prize from the R&D Association of Morocco.

This innovation has been the subject of an international patent and has resulted in the design of an innovative medication that has received marketing authorization and is named IXOR®.

IXOR®, the first effervescent antisecretory proton pump inhibitor, provides patients and the medical community with an innovative medication for the treatment of digestive pathologies caused by excessive gastric acid secretion, such as gastroesophageal reflux and gastro-duodenal ulcers.

This discovery by LAPROPHAN Laboratories brings a technological innovation through its galenic formulation and therapeutic approach, characterized by a sustained pharmacological inhibitory activity on gastric secretion, combined with an instant antacid action, as demonstrated by the human pharmacoclinical study conducted with our medication.

The first prize from the R&D Association of Morocco, unanimously awarded to LAPROPHAN Laboratories and its research company PROMINDUS on July 22, 2008, by a professional jury of academic and industrial scientists, chaired by the Director General of the Moroccan Office of Intellectual Property, is a recognition and acknowledgment of the innovative research and development work carried out by LAPROPHAN Laboratories.

Furthermore, LAPROPHAN Laboratories are proud to announce that they have been selected to represent Morocco in Geneva at the World Intellectual Property Organization.
