Laprophan Supports the Securaid 26 Medical Caravan for Rural Communities in Sahel Chamali

As part of its commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting community-based medical initiatives, Laprophan supported the Securaid 26 medical caravan, organized from April 10 to 12, 2026, at Mejlaou Primary School in the commune of Sahel Chamali, south of Assilah.

Initiated by Association MekkiL’, in partnership with Association Al Karam and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, this operation aimed to bring healthcare services closer to rural populations and improve medical care in remote areas.

The caravan primarily targeted mothers, children, and vulnerable families. Over three days, it mobilized 69 doctors and medical staff members across several specialties, including general medicine, pediatrics, ENT, cardiology, gynecology, endocrinology, dentistry, as well as nurses, pharmacists, technicians, and social workers.

In total, 1,635 beneficiaries were supported through Securaid 26, with 3,480 consultations and medical services provided. The services covered several areas of care, including general consultations, dental care, gynecology, cardiology, pediatrics, ENT, and endocrinology.

The caravan also enabled 140 ultrasound and mammography procedures to be performed on site, while identifying patients requiring specialized follow-up. Several beneficiaries were referred to partner hospital structures to ensure continuity of care and appropriate medical support.

As part of this initiative, Laprophan contributed as a private partner through pharmaceutical support. The caravan pharmacy was supplied thanks to donations from Laboratoires Laprophan and the GST, enabling the prescription and distribution of 5,528 boxes of medicines to 1,635 patients, representing an average of three to four boxes per patient.

Through this contribution, Laprophan reaffirms its civic commitment to solidarity, community healthcare, and improving access to care for vulnerable populations.

This initiative reflects Groupe Laprophan’s willingness to support high-impact medical actions, alongside associative, institutional, and healthcare stakeholders working directly in the field.
